Introduction:

While the terminal in Linux is great for managing Docker, a lot of the times it just isn't piratical or as easy as it could be. Having a Web UI makes life a lot easier and allows you tons of flrexibility like restarting a container from your phone!

Installing Portainer

First lets update our system

Code:
# apt update && apt upgrade
Now lets install Portainer:

Code:
# docker volume create portainer_data
# docker run -d -p 9000:9000 -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock -v portainer_data:/data portainer/portainer
Open port to access from outside network like from your phone

Code:
# ufw allow 9000
# ufw enable && ufw status
Now go to http://localhost:9000. You should open to a page to create your admin account
