Introduction
This can be used to general Windows corruption that happens sometimes after botched updates. Using the Deployment Image Servicing and Management command tool, you have three main options to repair a Windows 10 image, including "CheckHealth," "ScanHealth," and "RestoreHealth," and you want to run them in that hierarchy order. Also, depending on the complexity of the issue, there are additional settings that you can use with the "RestoreHealth" option to fix an image using different sources.

Running DISM with the /CheckHealth parameter
  1. Open Start.
  2. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.
  3. Run the command:
    Code:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Running DISM with DISM /ScanHealth option

The /ScanHealth parameter is just a more advanced version of /CheckHealth
  1. Open Start.
  2. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.
  3. Type the following command to perform a quick health check and press Enter:
    Code:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Repairing issues with DISM using RestoreHealth option
  1. Open Start.
  2. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.
  3. Type the following command to repair the Windows 10 image and press Enter:
    Code:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Repairing issues with DISM using WIM image

First download a Windows 10 image using the Windows Media Creation Tool. If you don't want to use the media creation tool or you need specific version of Windows 10 (E.G. 1903/1909) use my repo here.
  1. Double click the downloaded iso to mount it as D:\
  2. Open Start.
  3. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.
  4. Type the following command to repair the Windows 10 image and press Enter:
    Code:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:D:\Sources\install.wim
  5. You can also limit the use of Windows Update with:
    Code:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:D:\Sources\install.wim:1 /LimitAccess
